My name is Jess Brown, and I am a Graphic Designer, about to graduate from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Design, in Visual Communication. I am skilled in branding, data visualisation, experiential design, problem identification and solving and packaging design (my skills are not limited to these areas, feel free to contact for further information). I am primarily aiming to work in a corporate environment after graduating. This aim was inspired during my time in internships. I have learnt that I enjoy the environment of being given lists of specific jobs to do, containing deadlines etc.  While I am working full time in a corporate job, I would also love to pick up small freelance jobs on the side. This will be great for expressing myself creatively and will be a good opportunity to slowly build myself a name, just in case I am ever to decide to freelance in the place of a full-time job.
Leadership
Leadership skills have always come naturally to me. This may be because I am outgoing, in a way that makes me seem more confident to people than what I feel.
People Skills
I have great people skills for a variety of reasons. I am quite an outgoing person, which makes it easy for me to create comfortable conversation with people, even when I barely know them. I am very adaptable, so I can get along with very different personalities of people. I am also good at communicating concepts in a simplified way, which allows for a professional and easy-to-understand presentation.
Problem Solving
Problem solving is an area that I have always enjoyed. I tend to set goals as a way of motivating myself, and problem solving is something which I feel like comes under the same general feeling of accomplishment. This is likely since I am a competitive person, especially against myself.
Adobe Software
I have been learning and practicing the use of Adobe Softwares for a few years now. My primary skills lie in Illustrator, Indesign, Premier Pro, Photoshop, XD and Lightroom.
Branding
I am skilled in both creating branding from scratch, and designing content to follow an existing branding guide.
Experiential Design
I have spent time learning about experiential design, regarding signage and way finding. I have participated in projects, going into depth on existing company settings, identifying the problems with the current experiential design, and then coming up with a solution.
